Purse Mania - I just can't help it . . . .

Okay so if there was a group for purse addicts I would be a charter member. I would probably be the likely person to start such a group. I don't know why but I just love 'em. I have so many purse patterns and I keep finding more.

These two are my latest projects and will be taught at my LQS in October. The pattern is by Artful Offerings. Of course, summer is over here in the Northeast so they will be tucked away for next year. Hmmm I can feel the need for a purse in fall fabrics . . .

Firehouse Sew Day

Today was sew day at the firehouse with my fellow quilters. I hadn't been in several months so it was good to see everyone. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures to share of progress made today as it was more of a social gathering than sewing gathering but that is a good thing too! Sometimes you just need to hang with the gals! My friend, Talin, recently started her own blog -- surf on over when you get a minute and check it out. She also has an Etsy store -- her handmade items are fabulous.

A few more completions

My "Good Old Summertime Mini Quilt" is completed and ready to ship to my partner. I had fun making this quilt and just might have to make another one for me! I am happy to say that all of the fabrics used came from my stash.

I also finished the little Friendship Bag for the Friendship Swap. The deadline to ship is still two weeks or so away but I think I will send it along to my partner so she can enjoy it sooner.

Now to get busy with my Bumps in the Night Swap and Stitcher's Angel Swap. Hmmm I think I may have went a bit overboard with the swaps recently. But they are so much fun and it is a great way to meet new friends from around the world.

Doll Swap Quilt Has Arrived

My doll quilt from Sandra arrived today! I absolutely love it! The fabrics are civil war reproductions in pink and brown -- one of my favorite color combinations. It was dark by the time I got home so I had to settle for indoor pictures. If the weather cooperates this weekend, I will try to take better pictures outdoors.

There is even a pieced block on the back with the label. This one is going to hang in my sewing room!

One down . . . a few more to go!

The circles quilt is finished! Just need to add a label and off it will go in the mail to my swap partner. I am actually quite shocked that I am done with the quilt two weeks ahead of the deadline! I need to find a better place to take a picture of it before it gets mailed off but wanted to at least share my progress.

Now I can concentrate on finishing the quilt for the Summertime Mini Quilt Swap which ends on September 21st. Will share pictures of my progress soon.
